Rab Town is a medieval wonder, rich with ancient churches and narrow, cobbled streets that seem to be vertical at points. There is also a wealth of stone buildings with red-tiled roofs, and 4 Venetian-inspired campaniles that stand sentry at the harbor.
Old Town is immediately behind the Riva and marina, and you have a choice of three narrow uphill paths, Donja, Srednja and Gornja (lower, middle,upper) to get there. A Merkur store, the bus station and few tourist agencies are about a quarter of mile north of the Old Town and farther west you will find Komrcar Park.
